Hi there! Today I wanted to tell you about a little product I was sent to try out. Yes, it’s got something to do with that all important work we do in the laundry 😉

How many loads of washing do you do a day? Too many? By the time you sort the clothes in to darks, lights and towels, that can be 3 loads a day (if you’re anything like me!).

So, I was sent a little box and inside looked like sheets of white paper… but they are magic sheets of paper! These sheets were meant to half my washing time by allowing me to put lights and darks in TOGETHER. Oh no, I hear you say! That’s what I said!

First let me tell you about the product and then you can see the results…

Colour Catcher is a product discovered by Steric in Europe which stops colour runs from ruining clothes in the wash. Colour Catcher is a big hit over there – in France alone over half a million packs are purchased every year.

Steric thought it would be useful for mums back home, so brought it back to Australia.

It helps save valuable time as there’s no need to sort laundry – you can put whites in with colours without the worry of a rogue red sock turning everything pink. Plus, less sorting means fewer washes – saving both money and the environment.

So, what is it? A small white sheet that sucks up all the loose clothes dye.

How does it work? You simply put it in the machine with your clothes and do the laundry as usual. There are no harsh chemicals or environmental nasties, so it’s safe for all the family – even those with allergies.

Here’s my trial:

I washed green jeans WITH a white t-shirt! Oh yes I did! I was nervous too, so I made sure it was an old t-shirt just in case! 😉 But I was pleasantly surprised… look at that green piece of paper!! Now, these jeans have been washed a couple of times before on their own because I KNOW they are potent, normally I would never put them with anything else. I was really sceptical… but the proof is right there people! Colour Catcher works.

I want you to try some so I have 10 x packs of Steric Colour Catcher to give away to 5 readers (so each winner receives 2 packs each, each pack containing 15 sheets). Just tell me how much you love to do the washing, or hate it! It’s that simple.

CLOSED. Winners announced in the comments below.

Why not check out the Facebook page for more info: there’s a video of a real-life mother and daughter talking about Colour Catcher and a ‘Where to Buy’ tab that includes all the stockists nationwide.

I hate doing laundry because my husbands clothes are always so filthy (he's a builder) and stinky socks!

    NO WAY!!!! GET OUT!!!!!
This has me all over it.
I have so many grey undies and bras it is crazy. Not to mention grey whitish singlets.
    Hopeless really.
My now 16 yr old daughter gets so angry with me as I turn her favourite white bras to grey.
I’m a lazy washer. Whatever is in the basket get chucked in and fingers crossed they come out the same.
I try so hard to be that mum that sorts colours and whites, hand washes than irons….
But I fail week in week out. They r lucky if they make the line as the dryer is a step away.
I only buy white bath towels now as that solves my colour problems with them.
Oh and pocket checking….. Don’t get me started!

OMG my OCD was running on overdrive. I am such a stickler for whites only … I’m not sure I could bring myself to wash coloured’s with whites … perhaps this product will help cure my laundry OCD? Do they have anything that will help me get over my need to hang clothes with matching coloured pegs as well?

So funny. I have the matching pegs problem too but then I bought pegs all the same colour and it changed my life!

I love doing laundry .. It's the fresh linen smell I just adore! But I have a bit of a reputation for overloading the machine and mixing whites and colours.. And it's ALWAYS my husbands clothes that get wrecked .. You can imagine how well that goes down!!!!

I don't mind doing the washing, but I hate sorting it before going into the washing machine……ggggrrrrr. And don't like doing hand washing…..teenage daughter and all her colours and lace tops, very frustrating 🙁

Love hate relationship. I do hate doing it but love the time when I am standing out in the sunshine, quite relaxed, pegging away… somehow everyone seems to think it is the one time mummy is to be left alone to finish the job… huh!?

I find since moving house and the girls moving schools I do SOOO much more washing now as they wear white shirts under their pinafores. I’m working so hard to keep them white and it seems to creating so much more work. I will definitely pick some of these up next time I’m at Woollies.

It might sound weird but I actually enjoy doing laundry. There is something therapeutic about putting dirty clothing into the machine and it coming out clean – the mess of the day gone 🙂 Ironing on the other hand is a chore that I dread.

Farm = lots of washing, Girls = lots of pink, red & purple, School uniforms bottle green and gold…..and the list goes on! I don't mind the washing as such, but I would love anything that saved me time ie mixed loads!

I don't mind putting washing on Friday and I'm guilty of chucking mixed colors in together in a quest to complete the washing quicker! I do sttughle with getting washing put away though and often have baskets of clean folded washing sitting around!

I know it's sad but one of my greatest joys is seeing a clothesline full of fresh clothes on a beautiful warm day! Keeping up with the ironing is another thing altogether!

I don't mind washing..but I hate hanging out and folding. We each have a basket (ie wardrobe) that sits in the laundry. Just had the gastro bug visit and I'm in washing overdrive with smelly piles of sheets waiting their turn.

The whites, the whites, the brilliant whites!
Why do they always put up such a fight?
They won’t share the tub with anyone, but with Colour Catcher the fight could be won!
Hopefully a box will come my way, to help me cut down my washing loads in the coming days!

I have heard bout these already from my equally laundry obsessed friend! But here the little country town doesn't sell them! Four kids, Renos and a hubby who is a landscaper so do I wash? Oh yup! I am known at school for my obsession to things clean and smelling good! I am also known for pink tie dye look bras as I toss it all in together as I have a minimum of 10 x 10 kg loads a week1 We are either the cleanest or the dirtiest family around! lol!

So hard to believe, but your test doesn’t lie
Chuck the clothes in together and not worry about dye
My boys school shirt is pink, and their socks dirty grey
please send a trial box of Colour Catcher my way 🙂
