It's an amazing image isn't it to match an extraordinary time in our country's life. I heard a soldier tonight saying how wonderful they feel at being able to help (without getting shot at!)
I think you'd have to be pretty hard nosed not to have cried over the last few days.

I have cried at the news all week….and these are the images and stories with children attached that choke me up the most.
I have never been the praying type but its the best word for me to think of right now. I pray for all of them to get through.

a picture says a million words.

Oh my god , you got me crying , I can not believe all the craziness in the world right now , flooding, mud slides , mass murders , one of our cops was mowed down and crushed to death by a lunatic , not a good week for the world , way to much heart break.

Off I go again, more tears. Fantastic photo.
We Are on a major flood warning here. We should be ok, thankfully we are on a slight incline. It's nothing like the Queensland floods but roads are cut and people are very worried.

It is too much to comprehend. Even the wonderful stories from these horrific events don't mask the unbelievable sadness and loss that families are feeling.
As @elements said, I too am not the praying type but I feel that is all that is left.

I hadn't seen this image Katrina, thanks for posting. I wonder what the story is that goes along with it. So many will have a story to tell in days and years to come.

When i saw the grandmother hand over this baby, i burst into tears, my husband is a soldier & was up there helping, it's so heart breaking, to think 'just in case' i'll write her name on her arm. Love Posie
