We were heading to the beach today with some friends until Monday but the monsoonal weather there has  made us change our minds. I was really looking forward to it. I have checked the weather map over and over, but its still looking dismal.

We live about 5 and half hours drive from where we were going, so it’s not worth the trip and the money to have to sit indoors with 5 kids (and the house we were staying at is not massive!).

So now, what can we do on this long weekend? Wagga’s weather is going to be just as awful!

Yesterday morning I was making a coffee and I heard the loudest crack-boom and I looked out the window to see this. Not sure how we’re going to get rid of that? Chainsaw baby!

The kids have exhausted all of their indoor play activities and we were really looking forward to getting out of the house for the weekend, but now I’ll have to come up with something else to entertain them.
Last night we went to the Wagga Show as I was a guest and was asked to officially open it and sash the new Miss Showgirl. The weather had ruined it all and we ended up huddled in a little room with about 16 people and the showgirls. However, this did not stop my boys (and my nephew) from having 10 turns on the dodge  ’em cars! I love them just as much but there is always 1 snotty nosed feral kid that loves to bump you so hard you brain shakes. I put my game face on and got him back big time.
Today my boys will watch ‘Honey I Shrunk the Kids’ for the 10th time and I will be busy tapping away on the computer. I have so many little projects in the pipeline! It’s exciting times… Amie and I have a new website on the way and The Media Maid is going through the roof!
What have you got planned for this weekend? Give me some ideas!

    Hi Katrina

isn't the weather unkind for you – Mother Nature seems to know when it's school holidays – You'll just have to take a delayed beach break in a few weeks and let the boys have a extra long weekend.

I can't wait for the website for you girls – I've said it before – you will be a hit

have a great day ahead and hope you get the productions done you need to by the end of the day

    Hi Katrina,
Sometimes those weekends end up the best. but 5 hrs to travel is a little far with a thousand kids inside when you get there may not be the best.
Good ol wagga show. Best fun. my kids love going to that when they have been down visiting my mum and dad. they enjoy the wagga show more than going to the theme parks up here.
This week end we are staying in as a family and watching both the grandfinals. we all don't follow any of the teams but we have all chosen the teams we will cheer for and i will set up footy food in front of the tv. the boys love it!
No long week end for us as it is back to school on monday. Yippie!!!!!!
Look forward to seeing what you get up to.
    Pen 🙂
