How hot were the terrace reveals on the The Block last night? Anything with greenery really gets me going! And of course, the contestants didn’t disappoint. They also revealed the re-do rooms (which I will put together on a separate blog post later today). I did think Will and Karlie would have taken home the win because they had grass, but it wasn’t so. Come and take a look at the photos …
Julia and Sasha
I love everything the girls did here. I always love their work! The timber, black and greenery is perfect. I like how they positioned the couch to take in the view. How about the skylights?! Amazing!
They scored 29.5/30 week which was a huge feat considering they had no money!

Kim and Chris
Kim and Chris tied with the girls and scored 29.5/30 as well. They built an oasis! It’s so good. Although I would kill that greenery wall haha. Their colours and freshness really makes me want to spend hours in that space. A lot of effort and thought went in to this terrace. I just don’t know how they pulled it off because I remember those final days really took it out of me.

Will and Karlie
I love it. Every bit of it! They are lucky with the grass. The little gardens and the shed behind those barn doors is very cool indeed. I like the heaters too. They scored 27/30.

Dan and Carleen
I wasn’t a fan of this one. Take out all the plants and I think it’s very average. I am not loving the leather couches?? And the feature wall with a mirror and the orange timber bookshelves is not my taste. It’s not outdoorsy with shelving and a dining table – more suited to an interior space. They scored 25/30.

Ben and Andy
What can I say, they ran out of cash! Poor guys. It had potential. It’s frustrating for them, especially when the other couples say they have no money either but still manage to pull off a luxe space. They scored 17/30.

What did you think of the terraces?? Did the judges get it right?
Here are all the other rooms if you’ve missed some. Check my post later today on the re-do rooms.

Julia and Sasha’s was my favourite. What was yours?

Yes loved the girls, but Will and Karlie’s was great too!

Fabulous outdoor spaces. Will and Carlie’s courtyard garden was a winner for me, but I also loved the girls terrace and Chris and Kim’s terrace. Dan and Carlene did a great job also but the next door construction site spoiled it for me. Whoever buys their apartment has no view.
The boys did well to pull off the extra bedroom and study, as well as the terrace.
Eileen
I don’t think any of the apartments are going to have much of a view. I could see a new building going up which is going to be looking right into Will and Karlie’s terrace.

Great photo as always. Better than the show. I do agree mostly with the judges this week. It’s interesting to see many of the terraces will end up looking directly at another building. I’m also a bit puzzled about the leather couches outdoors – maybe they were left over from another room purchase.

I liked Kim and Chris’ followed by Will and Carly’s

Loved the girls terrace. Agree Dan and Carleen’s was more an indoor room. Felt for the boys but they did well with what they had

Those boys could have scored more points if they installed a BBQ system in the open space instead of a TV on the wall. If they re-arranged the space could have flowed quite well. Not every room needs a tv and the outdoor space is definitely one of them, especially if you don’t have any cash left!
