2016 has been a big year! As usual I also like to document just about everything that happens. Ha. I love it when Facebook sends you those ‘Memories’ from 5 years ago. I love to reminisce.
This year my whole family has seen changes and some growth. Like literal growing upwards too ha! My big boy overtook me in height, and my baby kid turned 10. My sister had a new bubba and my brother got engaged. My Dad hasn’t been overly well with the news of him having myeloproliferative thrombocytosis. That absolutely threw us all in a spin. He’s such a fit man and that was a shock. He’s doing ok with medication which is good. My sister is also moving house (out of town) so further away from my Mum and Dad but closer to me, so that’s exciting. I am just gently trying to push my Mum and Dad to move to me in Wagga. One day!
So that’s been 2016 so far! A few changes and a growing family with a new baby and a new sister-in-law to join us.
Last weekend my new nephew was Christened and I knew we were all overdue for family photos. Out came the phone and I snapped away. I passed it around making sure we had plenty of new photos of us all. But, I rarely print them out. Do you? I have a few photos here and there stuck up on my wall in my office, but not enough of them.
Recently I was introduced to the KODAK MOMENTS app – this ad-free app allows people to Create, Share and Print photos directly from your phone. I knew that collecting these family photos over the last few weeks would be a perfect time to have some of them printed up.
I got this photo made in to an acrylic print. It looks so good. A bit different to the usual printed canvas. I have stacked it on my bedside table for now.
There’s a couple of ways you can use the Kodak Moments app to receive physical printed photos. You can find a store with the Kodak Picture Kiosk and print them instantly. Or use the app to choose, edit and upload your photos to then receive them in the post. This is what I decided to do (because I’m all about making my life easy and I love surprises in the mail!).
The easy-to-use app allows you to use photos in their original resolution, so you don’t have to do anything except select your photos, choose their print size and you’re done. It took me about 10 minutes to create my order.
I’ve also introduced the app to my Mum. She isn’t on Instagram so she does miss a few snaps I put up. But she is handy with social media so I know she will love the sharing aspect. I don’t put heaps of family photos up on my public social sites just because I have boys who are getting older and they are not a fan of me posting their heads all over the place! But I can use the Moments section within the app to invited specific friends and family members to look at what we’ve been up to. I can follow people too and write comments.
