This used to be part of the Wagga Beach (we use the term ‘beach’ very loosely down here!). You could walk around down there last week. Now we can only see a roof.

This is only a taste of what is to come. Our River is set to burst fully in the next 24 hrs. However, the real stress will come this weekend after we receive 80mls of rain this Wednesday/Thursday. This will cause 1000’s more people to be evacuated. 
Just so you know, I live 7km from the River so I am safe.

    Thanks for the update. It must be very worrying for a lot of families at the moment. On a brighter note, when we had floods here earlier in the year the petrol stations made a killing with all the people fuelling up to go driving and sticky beaking at the rising waters. In the country it is the done thing.
