I am really really loving these dark colours. Yes, I swing from one side to the other quite often. I am a white-wall-freak normally, but I can’t help drool over these moody and cozy rooms. They are speaking to me. I think it’s this hot weather (43 degrees!) that is making me long for winter – and these colours are perfect!
Truly I have been looking at these pictures for a few weeks and they make me want to go out and buy (some more) paint! I won’t though, but I am tempted.
Do you ever get that feeling when you see something that you want to change your whole style?? I am feeling that way today.
Please jump over to my Twitter if you like and follow the funny, hilarious and often bold converstations that I have been having with abeachcottage, abancspace and Designsdbj.
Have a good weekend,

I am a white girl normally. I have 2 rooms in Dulux Warm Neutral (the colour of a dark milk coffee). I am thinking of doing my bedroom in the Warm Neutral & paiting all the furniture satin Black. I think it will look moody, sultry and sexy(wink). I would go and buy the paint but not today when it is 43c:)

Wow Melissa. I was going to put a white quilt cover with a black print on it but I wanted a lot of white to do just as you say pop. The side tables have cream marble tops and white electronic items on top. I was thinking of black sheers from ceiling to floor with block out lining behind. And I have a large gold mirror & antique gold wall lights but I might add some more sparkle elsewhere. Do you have any photos of your room Melissa. I would love to see them:)

Thanks Melissa. I love to look at what other people do with their homes, I guess that is the beauty of running a Decorating Forum. But the photos will help to convince my hubby to grab the spraycan and just go for it:)

I think we all need 2 houses so as we can change from one look to the other.
The dark walls look fabulous but maybe come winter it would feel like it is closing in around you

I love these dark walls Katrina, I strangely found them quite calming!! I want to get rid of the 'cream' walls in my house (Not sure where they came from?….). Inspiration for me maybe:) Have a wonderful weekend – Tina x
