I have noticed a lot of dining table makeovers lately. It’s such an easy project and if you’ve been thinking about sanding yours, or painting it, then maybe these holidays will be the perfect time to tackle that project.

A while ago I sanded my own table back and I just love the difference it’s made. My table is a good shape and nothing was wrong with it, but it was a orange looking with the stain. I sanded it back raw and waxed the top.

I looked on Pinterest for some ideas and below are tutorials too. Check them out…

I would recommend you use an electric sander to do the job. You’ll be able to have your table done in a few hours. You only need a small mouse sander too (and they aren’t expensive if you’re thinking of buying one). Then if you decide to paint, use something like Annie Sloan Chalk Paint which is a primer all in one, so no need to sand first – just paint! Then just buy a clear wax to put over the top. Easy!

Buy some new chairs, or paint what you have and you’ll have a new dining room look 🙂

Have you done a makeover of your own table? Or plan to?

Look great Katrina and definitely agree re using Chalk Paint by Annie Sloan – super easy to use.
