Each Monday I pop in to an office in Wagga Wagga with some lovely girls because I am helping with the social media of their company. It’s been fun because I am not used to “going to work”. But it’s nice to see some real faces. This past Monday there was a knock on the door and in walked a lady with a bucket full of flower bunches for every single one of us. WHY? Just because. The note said “because every girl needs a bunch of flowers”. That definitely put a smile on my face and now I have pretty flowers in my home for the week.
We’re all busy. We all have crap to do every single day. Lift your mood and someone else’s with a random act of kindness. Here’s a list to help you get going!
- Smile and say hello to everyone you cross paths with
- Hold the door open for someone
- Give a compliment
- Help someone find a job
- Introduce people to each other who you know may benefit from the connection
- Text someone to tell them you love them
- Do a task for your partner you don’t normally do – like take out the bins, take the car through the car wash.
- Pick up any rubbish along a walk
- Let someone go before you in the grocery line
- Cook a meal for a friend
- Volunteer somewhere
- Donate blood
- Pay for someone’s coffee
- Put a coin in someone’s trolley
- Take food to work for people to share
- Buy someone a random bunch of flowers
- Make a care package for a friend who isn’t feeling well
- Register for organ donation
- Check in on an elderly relative or neighbour
- Give someone a hug
- Donate money to a cause
- Offer to babysit someone’s children
- Walk a dog
- Participate in a fundraiser
- Give someone’s business a shout out on social media
- Thank a teacher
- Plant a tree
- Water the neighbour’s garden
What kind thing will you do today? ♥ KC.
