The Kmart phase is still running crazy out there on Instagram! I wouldn’t say I am very good at “hacking” Kmart’s goodies, because I usually only buy it if I love it the way it is… however, here are two things I just had to transform!
The first was the garden lantern. It was yellow with a glass vessel in the middle. Have you got one? There are 2 sizes…
On went the flat black spray paint. It was less than $3 per can at Bunnings.
I bought a little white pot and a fern to replace the glass vessel. Here it is in situ! On my marble plate. I am loving it.
Next up was the concrete pot for $15 from Kmart. It looked a bit boring to me and I thought it needed some colour. I couldn’t decide on a colour but ended up going with a peachy pink. Yes, I LOVE pink. I promise my house isn’t full of pink (just enough to balance all the males in my house LOL)…
I’ve had this stencil for ages and have completed lots of projects with it. I like the rough pattern it gives.
There you go! Two really easy Kmart “hacks”. Happy with my new pieces.
Have you hacked lots of Kmart treats yet?

I have two yellow lanterns. Deciding between black or white. Just need to get some paint and find some spare time.

Hope you get some time this weekend Chris. X

I live in a house full of males. Yes, pink is definitely needed to keep things in harmony 😉
