Even though it’s supposed to be cooing down, it sure doesn’t feel like it around here. It feels more like Spring in Wagga at the moment and I am NOT complaining 😉 I want to do some updates to my outdoor area over the Winter and hopefully I’ll have a new BBQ spot by the time the seasons warm up again. So I went searching for some inspiration and ideas on how to create the perfect outdoor area…

Check out the photos and some tips I share below…

I love a deck, a built in bbq and a lounge area. What do you think?

TIPS:

♥ Designate – first you need to decide in the type of space you want and how you will lay it out. Can you fit a table, a lounge and a bbq space? Will you use appliances like a tv and a fridge? These days our Alfresco areas are getting bigger as we incorporate lounge/kitchen all outside!

♥ Light it up – put in some downlights and lots of them so you can enjoy sitting out there in the evenings.

♥ Green it up – pots and plants spruce up the space perfectly. Grab some pots in different heights and textures.

♥ Decorate – think about rugs, chairs and cushions. Your outside space can look as good as your inside space so don’t be scared you’ll over do it (just make sure they are waterproof, or be prepared to move things inside if the weather gets crazy).
